La Mujer Mural Restoration

In May, 2016, Art was commissioned by the Mural Conservancy of Los Angeles and artist Judithe Hernandez to assist her in the restoration of her mural "La Mujer" in Ramona Gardens in East Los Angeles. Originally painted in 1976, the mural had faded quite badly and suffered some damage from the elements and from graffiti.

Assisting Ms. Hernandez in the restoration, Art cleaned and consolidated the original paint of the mural. When Ms. Hernandez finished her restoration, Art applied the final archival varnish to protect the mural and prolong its life. The restoration has given brilliant new life to this historic mural.
