James DeBarth Shorb Mural
This photo shows the image of Mr. and Mrs. Shorb at the Ramona Convent and an early image of the Convent itself at the top center. The City of Alhambra was named after the famous Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain, and much of the early architecture in the City was influenced by the Moorish architecture of that palace. An example of architecture from the early days of the City of Alhambra is used as a background for this section of the mural. A painting, presented like one in a museum, can be dimly seen though the center arch.
